![]() I have tried to gain access via FTP but again this is not ideal for me as I dont know the commands etc. Second thing is I cant get the file to execute. I right clicked on the file and under security I have allowed all access for all users, does this do the same thing? If not how can I chmod the file? What I am unable to do is to CHMOD the file. I created the script in notepad and put it into /tools I have no unix/linux experience, I use an XP machine to connect to my QNAP I like the idea of this script but while trying to follow your instructions I have come across a couple of problems. So this one is even easier: create a file in your Qweb folder called plRescan.php with the following few lines: Now you don't want your family members to fiddle around within your QNAP shell to ask for the playlist conversion. plConvert.sh via SSH/telnet, and Twonky folder should contain all playlists in a format digestable for Twonky. ![]() Drop in your WPLs and M3Us (valid on your PC) into the Playlist folder. It also converts backslashes to slashes, though at least this is no problem for Twonky, but who knows what next versions of Twonky will surprise us with Music-directory adressed as "Q:\Music\.") or the Qmultimedia directory appears in the path ("Īs\Qmultimedia\Music\.") or other combinations at least containing Qmultimedia, so this should work for every setup. The script assumes that on your PCs either the Qmultimedia directory is mounted itself (e.g. "chmod 777" the script to make it executable for everyone. If required, change the first three paths for your setup. Grep -v "#EXTINF" "$m3u" | sed -e $fixM3URoot -e $fixQmultimediaMount -e $convertSlashes > "$dstPath"/"$m3u" # kill nasty EXTINFs and fix root path and slashes Sed -e $fixWPLRoot -e $fixQmultimediaMount -e $convertSlashes "$wpl" > "$dstPath"/"$wpl"įixM3URoot="s#.*\\$qmultimedia#$qmultimediaPath#" # make playlist folder the current directoryįixQmultimediaMount="s#]:\\\\#$qmultimediaPath/#"įixWPLRoot="s#src=\".*\\$qmultimedia#src=\"$qmultimediaPath#" # Name of Qmultimedia directory w/o slashes (though obvious, you might use another one) QmultimediaPath="/share/HDA_DATA/Qmultimedia" # QNAP path to Qmultimedia directory w/o trailing slash SrcPath="/share/HDA_DATA/Qmultimedia/Playlists"ĭstPath="/share/HDA_DATA/Qmultimedia/Playlists/Twonky" # Paths to your playlist and converted playlists directory So here is my structure, but anything else works as well of course: There is als a Tools folder for the required conversion script. In Twonky configuration, the two media folders and Playlists/Twonky are scanned (marked with asterisk). Within Playlists, there is subfolder "Twonky" that will contain the converted playlists. I have different folders in Qmultimedia for Music, Audio Books and Playlists. rescan and availability on the Soundbridges in seconds! And the solution is very easy! So now everyone can work with their favorite playlist maintenance tool and provide it to Twonky incl.
